Global Expedition Pvt. Ltd. (Regd. No. 169617/73/074) is a Nepal-based mountaineering company founded and led by veteran Sherpa climbers from the Himalayan highlands. We were built on a simple premise: the world's best mountains deserve the world's most capable operators, and no one understands high-altitude terrain better than those who grew up in its shadow.
We work with climbers across the full spectrum of experience, from first-time trekkers taking on their first Himalayan trail to seasoned mountaineers pursuing their next 8,000-meter summit. Jenjen Lama was born on 30 September 1992 in Bhotkhola-1, Sankhuwasabha, in Nepal’s remote Makalu region. Raised in the heart of the Himalayas, he developed a deep connection with the mountains from an early age and has since built an outstanding career in high-altitude mountaineering and expedition leadership.
Arnold Coster is the founder and senior leader and is probably one of the most senior expedition leaders operating trips in the Himalayas. Arnold started climbing when he was fifteen years old and accumulated a ton of experience climbing numerous peaks and led close to one hundred climbing expeditions in the last two decades.
Safety, Fun & Success are the corner stones of each expedition. Arnold is a relaxed, considerate and thoughtful person; an expert leader and a highly-skilled professional who specializes in getting people to the summit and back down in 100 percent safety. He is a good communicator, a great motivator, has a positive attitude and believes that climbing these High Mountains is achievable for a lot of people; it’s a matter of guidance and support. Arnold is at home in any terrain, with any kind of group. Teaching and sharing his experience is his privilege!
